Avena is a modern Italian restaurant from Northern Italian chef

Roberto Deiaco. 


 He was previously the Executive Chef at Armani Ristorante 5th Avenue and Cipriani. He came to New York to work at Palio in the mid 90's.

Chef Deiaco opened his first restaurant in 2013, East 12th Osteria, which was lauded by The Financial Times as one of the 5 best Italian restaurants in New York City.

 Avena Ristorante's menu emphasizes freshness and modern techniques in Chef Deiaco's  interpretation of Italian cuisine.
