4-course New Year's Eve Menu ($200).

We are open on January 1st for lunch and dinner,

serving our à la carte menu.

Avena means grain, the staff of life. 


Avena is a modern Italian restaurant from Northern Italian chef Roberto Deiaco. 


 He was previously the Executive Chef at Armani Ristrorante 5th Avenue and Cipriani.

He came to New York to work at Palio in the mid 90's.

Chef Deiaco opened his first restaurant in 2013, East 12th Osteria, which was lauded by

The Financial Times as one of the 5 best Italian restaurants in New York City.

Currently, he also runs Avena Downtown in Greenwich Village, located at the former

Da Silvano space on Sixth Avenue and Houston. Avena Downtown is multi concept: with Ristorante, a more casual Osteria next door, and a bar/lounge. 

 Avena's menu emphasizes freshness and modern techniques in Chef Deiaco's  interpretation of Italian cuisine.
